Less than 1 month until! There is still much to do! The posters have been sent out to contributors and will be posted at many Engineering colleges all over India! :-)

There is so much still to do! Buy new shoes, prepare my talk (oh, no!!) and just get prepared in general! :-)

Right now registration is ongoing! You can register, here. The cost is Rs 900 ($20USD) for Professionals, teachers Rs 700 ($15.50USD) and students Rs 500 ($11USD).

The discount codes are :

  • Student discount: KDEIN_DIS_STU
  • Teacher discount: KDEIN_DIS_TCR

Make sure if you take advantage of these offers to carry your student / teacher ID card with you to the conference, because without these you’ll have to pay the normal fee amount.

You can register and pay your fee online, or you can pay offline, at the location but that includes late fees (Rs 200 or $4USD for students and teachers, and Rs 300 ($6USD) for professionals).

There are discounts available for those who order more than 10 tickets (Rs 50) which will also be applicable with the student and teacher discounts.

Registration closes online on February 25th, after that you can still register but will have to register at the venue and pay applicable fees.

We have plenty of interesting talks happening. I will be speaking myself, as well as Anne-Marie Mahfouf, about KDE-edu and how to contribute.

I will be speaking about how to contribute more India specific content to the KDE-edu apps, mainly Parley, KWordquiz, and KGeography in the forms of vocab and maps. There is a major lack of Indic language vocab in KDE. So, if any of you are interested in helping do please let me know!

Anne-Marie (annma) is giving 2 talks, titled How To Start Contributing to KDE-Edu: Practical Hints and Users Do Read Manuals (Doc and Wikis Revealed). I am looking forward to hearing her speak.

Also, there will be talks on numerous other subjects, as you can see here.

I am planning on learning as much as I can while I am there!

Oh yeah, see this!
